B2B software buyers trust review sites. Here's how SaaS companies handle fake and outdated reviews.

For B2B SaaS companies, G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, and GetApp are often the first places buyers look after a demo. A handful of negative reviews can stall deals and extend sales cycles.

Fake reviews on B2B sites often come from competitors, former employees, or people who never used the product. Verified-user requirements make these removable when you can demonstrate non-use.

Outdated reviews are another problem. A review based on a version from three years ago doesn't reflect current product quality. Most platforms allow update requests or responses noting the version discrepancy.

The best long-term strategy is an ethical review-generation program targeting verified users at moments of success — post-onboarding completion, support resolution, or renewal.
